City: Havelte (West) Length of route: The blue route is 16 kilometers long. On weekends an additional 6-mile red loop is open. Nature of the route: The route carries out the areas of, among others, Defense (Military Practice Areas) and State Forestry. After a few hundred meters across the asphalt, dive into a narrow single track. After a bit past the meadows, the route takes you miles long to the length of a tanker. The singletrack is quite technical and therefore requires good steering skills. Marking: The route is marked with wooden poles with blue blue international MTB sign (triangle with 2 rounds). On weekends there is an additional loop (6 kilometers) to drive. This loop is marked with a red color. Environment: The route is in the vicinity of Havelte and carries out areas of, among others, Defense and Forestry. Havelte, also called "The Pearl of Drenthe", is surrounded by extensive forests, heathlands, sand sprays and pasture areas.
