City: Eersel Length of route: The route is 37 kilometers long. Within this route you can cycle different loops. However, no special marker has been set on the route. Nature of the route: The route is a relatively flat route over virtually unpaved paths. Many paths are specially designed MTB singles tracks. Parts of the route are used by motor crossers and horses. This means that you have to take into account very bumpy paths. It is certainly not a simple route. Marking: The route is marked with wooden poles with blue international MTB sign (triangle with 2 rounds). Environment: The 37 kilometer long route is southeast of the municipality of Eersel (near Eindhoven). The White Riding Route runs through the Witrijt forest area and around the De Goorloop nature reserve. In the brook valley of the Goorloop, peat formation has taken place since the Ice Age. The relief in the ground has arisen here by bragging rivers. Important to the water management in this area are the streams that flow through the area. The soil vegetation consists predominantly of various kinds of leaf mosses and herbs.
