Amerongen Place: Amerongen Length of route: The route is 18 kilometers long. Environment: The routes lie in an extensive forest area on the Utrechts Heuvelrug. Originally, these were two estates, namely the Amerong Forest and the Zuilenstein forest. Nature of the route: The 18 kilometer long (280 altitude) route is located in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park between Amerongen and Veenendaal. The route alternates between flat and hilly parts of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. By 2015, the route has largely been renewed and many challenging singletracks have been added to the route. The result is now an alternative route with many singletracks, wide long climbs and fun challenging descents.’ Marking: The route is marked with wooden poles with a white bevelled head, with green international MTB sign (triangle with 2 rounds).
